Agenda Setting

What is agenda setting?

Agenda setting is where the clinician elicits the full set of concerns (or agendas) from the patient’s perspective and then uses that information to prioritise and negotiate which clinical issues should most appropriately be dealt with and which (if any) should be deferred to a subsequent visit.
